Leagues & Tournaments
Welcome to the 2017 season of the Banner Golf League at Black Birch Golf Club. Our opening round for the season is slated for Saturday April 8th with a rain/snow date of Saturday April 15th. Attached is an application for this year’s membership as well as a complete schedule of the season’s upcoming events. All scheduled tournament dates are subject to rescheduling and/or cancellation due to inclement weather as well as course scheduling conflicts, new schedules will be available in the pro shop in the event of schedule changes.
This year’s league membership fee remain at $160. This fee includes the following:
- A GHIN number and a handicap through the CSGA/USGA. (The purpose of the USGA Handicap System is to make the game more enjoyable for golfers of all abilities. So whether you participate in tournaments or not, an official CSGA/GHIN handicap will allow you to see the improvements in your ability or compete more equitably with your playing partners. Once you’ve joined a golf club and posted five adjusted gross scores you will be issued a CSGA/GHIN handicap once a revision date passes.)
- Entry into all 29 scheduled BGL tournaments or events
- All yearly scheduled cookouts
- Greens fees at a reduced set rate ($25 to ride / $18 to walk)
- The year-end banquet (meal, drinks, and prizes)
As always, the BGL is looking to expand its membership. As an incentive to all current members who introduce a new member into the league, they will receive two free rounds of golf. If every current league member introduces one new member, we can double our league. Limit one per member.

Over the past few seasons we have made many improvements to the course as well as added new amenities that we are positive you will enjoy! We are looking forward to working with you this year on your upcoming event.

* This fee is for all golfers to cover the cost of extra carts needed to be rented for the additional golfers. Each additional cart cost $65 to rent with a minimum of 10 carts needed to be ordered.

All food and beverage must be purchased through Black Birch Golf Club’s Jack’s Place. No outside food is permitted.
ABSOLUTELY ALL ALCOHOL MUST BE PROVIDED BY BLACK BIRCH GOLF CLUB.
NO EXCEPTIONS. In the event no food will be required, a $5 per player fee will be added.
Complete the online form and bring a $200.00 deposit, made out the Black Birch Golf, LLC to Black Birch Golf Course Pro Shop located at 10 Banner Road, Moodus, CT 06469.
